Hello everyone

Thank you for visiting. Since the Blog draws still visitors although it is not groomed anymore and the content is slightly out of date. I’ll keep it online for those that access some of the posts.

Please excuse the advertisement on the site. It is forced on us by WordPress to keep the service free.

It is astonishing after all this time the posts are read by quite a lot of people – for my standards – thank you for that.

Unfortunately all the videos are down and I’ll will not put them back online. The videos were made entirely by myself and had no music score but video in the world of internet means trouble and I do not like that.

If you have questions to any topic feel free to ask. BUT I won’t reply to anyone that does not state his or her real name, why he/she needs the information and where he or she is coming from. Lately I received many questions about the Alco case which I’m willing to answer, but again I won’t answer to Mr. or Ms. anonymous.

the Project that started the logiblog is almost over, but I’ll continue to upload more information about logistics. Please note that it is always worth it to reread old posts because I’m keeping them up to date with even more interesting stuff. The bad thing about that is, that if you are subscribed via RSS you might not get a notice if something has changed or information has been added. So keep reexperiencing the blog by using the “older Posts” button at the end of the site.

  • Floor Storage (Cheap) (if pliable better space usage) (large Space consumption)
  • Conventional Racking (Regale – mit Paletten) (50% Space loss due to aisle Wege)
  • Drive in – Drive Through (only the same product on any line) (no perishable products) (goods that can‘t be piled)
  • Mobile Racking (libraries, only one aisle)
  • Mobile Shelving (when Space is expensive – cooling buildings)
  • Rotative Storage (Horizontal Carousels) (Vertical: Paternoster)
  • Palletizing

Pictures and information of a tour for a marketing project I did through the Evobus storage facility.

They were using different types of Storage. On the first picture you can see conventional Racking. Continue reading
